HDMI Cables
Modern HD equipment needs the proper equipment to display its beauty. HDTV, PlayStation3, and Blu-ray equipment all need proper, quality HDMI cables. These big cables are not only essential, but are available in many different brands, and, you guessed it - PRICES! "So called" electronic specialty stores sell these little babies at a premium. I swear, they almost make innocent, first time HD equipment buyers, think that if they are conscientious enough to go to a "Professional", that specializes in electronics...then they must be willing to pay whatever that store is asking. Stores like Circuit City, and Best Buy are famous for that moniker; in fact you can spend $100, or more on certain brands that sell on the internet for half that.
Monster cables, for instance are the biggest consumer scam going. The previously mentioned outlets claim these cables are the only ones that will do, yet almost any brand will give you the quality you desire. If they say "HDMI" on the box, then that's what they are made for! This is why many people are buying online these days. I hate going into a store with a salesperson hovering over me, feeding needless lies into my head. That isn't to say they are all liars...but I prefer making my own decisions, and deciding how much I'm going to pay for what, without being sold into the hype a commissioned sales brings with their "Extra Special, Super Duper" brands.
Amazon.com, Ebay, Newegg, and other online vendors have all the choices you will ever need; at significantly lower prices. Savings of 50% – 90% compared to retail store prices, like Best Buy and Circuit City...can be found quite easily, without any pressure.
I have taken the liberty of listing a few online brands that don't sacrifice quality, yet give you significant savings:
1)Premium HDMI v1.3 Cable (2M/6ft.) 2) Cables To Go – 40315 – 2M (6.5ft) Velocity HDMI Digital Video Cable (Blue) 3) Ikross Gold Plated Certified 1080p 10ft / 3m HDMI Ps3 Blue CableThough there is very little difference in the quality of the picture, from both a traditional component cable, or an HDMI, the noise reduction is significant. Combine that knowledge, with the fact that manufacturers recommend them for a reason. As technology advances, so must the delivery of that technology,IE: attachment cables. The noise suppression quality prevents interference from other electronics.
